Todays color is White!

So what does the White Coat Ceremony (WCC) really Mean ?????
It is a new ritual that symbolizes the transition from preclinical to clinical health sciences. Where student can proudly and officially have the right to wear their "white coat" to see patients during their last years of medical school and where ever they may later work. This traditional ceremony has been worn for 100 years.

I'm so proud of my lovely hon' that has the honor to wear this coat and soon to be known as Dr. Arias.

We Made It

 Dominica....
We have reached our destination point and had to get on a really small plane that had a limited sitting of about 6 people per plane. This was our first time on a small plane and let me say "it was scary!". But we landed on solid ground and boy were we happy. Until we found out that one of our bags did not make it. I was a bit ticked off but I was assured that it would arrive by the next day. However, thankfully we had a bus from Ross pick us up and take us down the road to the school. The ride was for about 45 min and unfortunately it was to dark to see the beauty that the island had to offer. Overall, we were happy to make it and couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

I made it!

It was Cg;s big gray luggage that did not make it.. Thankfully, Cg had spear clothes in his carry-on. :)
We had to wait for about 3 weeks to receive the missing luggage...

Our First Stop

Our trip was a bit hectic but we made it all  in one piece. First stop is and island named St. Martin which is right next to Dominica. We had to stay one night in St. Martin and  found a very nice hotel were we could  order some pizza hut and take time to freshen up. Because the next day we had to get ready for the final trip which is "Destination Dominica".

The L' Esperance Hotel
I couldn't believe they had both KFC and Pizza Hut !

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011

We say Good-Bye to Miami and "Hello" to a New Year. It was a great new year with family and friends but  we are off  to see whats on the other side of the world. We are off to an island to follow our dreams. 2010 was very tough for both Cg and I but we are excited and happy for 2011. So there it is we leave the only place we know best and go off to a whole new world.  This will be an adventure that we will  never forget. So here we go! Dominica we are on our way!
